This house resides on a hill with a distinct view of the neighboring mountains. The site is entered from a lower street level through an ascending ramp surprising the visitor with an elegantly proportioned entry arcade. Then one enters a courtyard, leading either to the main entrance of the Villa or to a stair that leads to the upper floor. These sequential transitions help build up a sense of mystery, giving the internal space more value as one enters inside and discovers the dramatic view of the distant mountains.
